Pitch & Rail was started out of a need and desire for a space in which artists could share, discuss, showcase and create work.

Many of our initial founders and members came from a heavily community oriented school background in which we were able to constantly have an outlet and space for our work to be presented and critiqued. Upon entering the proverbial “real world”, we found ourselves missing and searching for a group of artists, thinkers, art historians, curators and scholars to show and share work with. In the absence of this kind of community post college, this small non-profit was born.

We strive to bring together young, talented, interesting and driven artists and their work. Our mission is to curate and organize a place where art of all mediums and backgrounds can be viewed, to give young artists a place to exhibit, and to reach as vast an audience as possible.

We curate exhibits but also manage and create a number of related events for anyone to attend. These cover a large territory, from museum visits to craft beer tastings.

We pride ourselves on showcasing unknown or up and coming artists, and on allowing for a diversity in mediums and ideas. Anyone may participate, anyone may create an event, and anyone may attend. We encourage collaborators to contact us and for anyone with the same passions as us to become involved.
